Understanding religious etremism from a non-extremist perspective.

In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west, people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true.

In Nigeria, Extremism is alive and active. There are different kinds- political, religious, economic, and ideological Extremism. first political. quite easy....Domination of countries, problems with boundaries and wars. Second, Religion. its funny and really surprising that religion is part. I mean part of the whole deal. what does religion got to do? I stumbled on a newspaper on foreign affairs and I saw this.
"How familiar are you with the world's second-fastest growing religion?
many in the west know little about this faith with its more than 1.2 billion
adherents-and are familiar only with the actions of a minority of radical extremists"
After reading this, I got really all.....so what! maybe my reaction came as a result of the activities of the so called minority of "radical extremists" I may be wrong but I believe a lot of crime doers are capitalizing on the nature of Islam to carry out their own personal vendetta. so the name "radical extremists" arose.

Islam versus Christianity disagrees on so many issues, each side believes that the other is evil. Intermarriage is discouraged and on the rare occasion that it happens is considered remarkable. But my question still remains, what does religion got to do? you may as well bring a Muslim home to your christian parents:be ready to get a long long long night of sermon. someone said if we try harder, things may work out" nothings ever gonna work out. You know why? the deeds been done. A lot of homes have been destroyed, families have been taken away from the earth (September 11) this date brings terror to the minds of Americans. Northern Nigeria would never heal from the deeds of "radical extremists". some non-extremists Muslims assume that everyone will get the intent of Islam. But think about it, no one got time for that.

To Christians: You see a young girl pass by you with a veil from her head falling to her back, and one whispers to the other, "oh my God, she is Islam, how do they manage to cope with all this baggage under the heat of the sun" with a shudder, an actual shudder. Like being a Muslim or a Christian is a taboo. I could see, the girl was a young girl who may or may not be aware of the wounds some "radical extremists" some where have caused. what about praying for that little girl instead of going around slandering and wasting  so much time. No one can really know the problems of these "radical Extremists'' except the one who created all. So, we should always pray more as the world has chosen to get darker.

  3. its not in human nature to adhere to peace and its tenets. No matter how peace may seem interesting a great number of us would choose not to sign up. This is because peace is relative. what peace may mean to you maybe different from what another takes peace to be. looking at it from the perspective of Dissimilarity in culture, in religion, personality and environmental placements. I ascertain to your point were you said people prefer fiction over truth. I believe that If everyone takes to the journey of finding what is really truth we would become more knowledgeable on what's Truth.

Depression sounds like a calm expression, but it is a word that has affected thousands of young people in the 21st generation....
