Religious Exremism and its unforeseen impacts on Nigerian students.

If I'm not careful, confidence, like firm convictions, can come
across as arrogance. Which is why we have to watch our attitudes
and try to be sensitive in what we say, where we say it, and even
how others feel about it

When it comes to religious extremism, you got to calculatively learn to divert from Ben Carson's opinion a little. How do we expect to keep shut. I can't. No one who sees clearly would. I address this issue from the perspective of the unforeseen impact it may have in Nigeria 5-10 years from now. Recently, little boys and girls who are the least of suspects have began to strap bombs to their bags while claiming the life's of thousands. It may sound a little far fetched and western but how long would it remain this way in this fast paced world of ours.

I was trying to compare the Boko Haram sect with the crises that took place in September 11 and I realized that ''the most stupid of them all is the Boko Haram sect...where some bored miscreants who have decided to be caricatures of the white terrorist picked up arms to have a flavored taste of the CNN. From my study of the September 11 crises, these extremists are fighting for a cause that may be virtually non-existent- I will tell you why. First, by the absence of any stated cause to be served. 2ndly, by the failure to promote warning and 3rdly by the obvious intent to time and configure the attack in such a manner as to take as many lives as possible. Even to the point, some have suggested of the airplanes angle of approach, which seemed calculated to devastate as many floors of the twin towers as they would.

The most striking of it all was the success with which the terrorist transformed objects we had never regarded as dangerous into weapon of lethal potency. There was nothing exotic here like bombs or even fire arms. They instead the objects of everyday life;pocket knives, Twine, box cutter, and off course commercial aircraft's. The terrorists may have combined what may seem to be a primitive belief in the rewards of martyrdom...with the most modem methods of planning, co-ordination and execution.

We got to be watchful...read voraciously and pray hard in order to get prepared for what ever chooses to come our way,.
