Intelligence 1

A few months ago I wrote a post titled; what really is intelligence, I choose to go a little further on that to re emphasize my point. Intelligence goes beyond ones ability to solve mathematical or  scientific problems. A lot of people may never want to hear that because they function extremely in this. I would have argued this sometime ago, but further research has made me realize that to function effectively in the fast pacing world of ours we need more than the inept ability to solve mathematical equations. In fast rising companies, you would see a lot of first class graduates being dropped out during recruitment and you may ask why. My answer remains the absence of emotional strength to handle problems that mathematical re evaluations would never solve.
How often does your attitude propel you to solve challenges, overcome obstacles, and accomplish objectives. Have you realized that you have attitudes that are anchors, slowing you down or stoping  you altogether. You may as well as think of people you know who are often identified with strong attitudes.  He's got a can do attitude, I don't know how she does it; she can bring a smile to any situation. Do you get tensed in front of challenges? Do you get actively on the edge each time someone points out the negative in your actions. Then you need emotional intelligence.
What then is emotional intelligence.? Emotional intelligence simply is the ability and the active know how to handle your present feelings appropriately through the well known understanding of oneself and also the conscious step to understand people around you and how to handle their feelings rightly.

Tomorrow I would write on the steps to acquire emotional intelligence.
