Donald Duke's era in C.R.S a ''Once upon a time''

 Hello Everyone,,
I maybe wrong but I choose to assert that Donald Duke's era in Cross River state was a fairy tale. You may accept or deny the potency of this statement but ask any Cross Riverian who lived during this period and you will get shocked to hear this....
''Once upon a time, they lived a governor called Donald Duke who brought hope to the people of C.R.S, making them believe that their today, having been better than their yesterday, certainly, their tomorrow will far exceed  today. Ah...How secure we were, and how our state grew green and fresh. Hoodlums, area boys and the less privileged who had no source of livelihood began to dream. Communities covering no more than 10 percent of C.R.S had electricity. When he left he achieved over 75 percent coverage. What joy blighted our faces. People had become so cynical of government that no matter how brilliant it may sound, they  look they just thought it was another ''con game''. But Donald Broke that impediment and fueled our minds with a future as bright as the sun. What about tinapa, What about Obudu cattle range. He said ''The multiplier effect thereafter is about 300billion Naira, because on the average they'll spend N100,000 either on in shopping or on hotel accommodation, taxis. There will be 3 billion N in circulation which will stimulate other industries. Will Tinapa be a sucess they asked? he said, I think it will be a roaring success. So much Vision, Intelligence, Strategy, and insight. But as the years passed somethings changed, What happened we may not be aware but we began to live in fear in our once and future paradise. Hoodlums, area boys, cultists have decided to arise and destroy the greenness of our state but they would not succeed...Robbery in the day and our young plants are being cut down....Calabar in which everyone loved to come to is being dreaded. Hmm ''Fairy tales always start with Once upon a time and ends with they all lived happily ever after''
I pray ours ends with that...because the story is still being told.

Depression sounds like a calm expression, but it is a word that has affected thousands of young people in the 21st generation....
