Movie lovers: "Muriel" 1963, a must watch

Hello dear viewers,
I recently watched 'Muriel', and I must confess, I remained totally stunned. The script tells a straight forward story. The story is radically uncoventional, and the action is chronological but fragmentary, filled with parallels and mysteries. Muriel Is about representing life as a movie. It's all about all the ways that the past makes itself present.

"More than 2,000 patrons of the New York film festival were mystified last night by an ambiguous, avant grade French drama about the Algerian war, Eugene Archer wrote on the New York times in 1963, adding that "Muriel" set it's audience "astir with heated discussions about its importance and possible interpretation. Almost everyone agreed that it was impossible to understand after a single viewing".
