Understanding religious etremism from a non-extremist perspective.

In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west, people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true.

In Nigeria, Extremism is alive and active. There are different kinds- political, religious, economic, and ideological Extremism. first political. quite easy....Domination of countries, problems with boundaries and wars. Second, Religion. its funny and really surprising that religion is part. I mean part of the whole deal. what does religion got to do? I stumbled on a newspaper on foreign affairs and I saw this.
"How familiar are you with the world's second-fastest growing religion?
many in the west know little about this faith with its more than 1.2 billion
adherents-and are familiar only with the actions of a minority of radical extremists"
After reading this, I got really all.....so what! maybe my reaction came as a result of the activities of the so called minority of "radical extremists" I may be wrong but I believe a lot of crime doers are capitalizing on the nature of Islam to carry out their own personal vendetta. so the name "radical extremists" arose.

Islam versus Christianity disagrees on so many issues, each side believes that the other is evil. Intermarriage is discouraged and on the rare occasion that it happens is considered remarkable. But my question still remains, what does religion got to do? you may as well bring a Muslim home to your christian parents:be ready to get a long long long night of sermon. someone said if we try harder, things may work out" nothings ever gonna work out. You know why? the deeds been done. A lot of homes have been destroyed, families have been taken away from the earth (September 11) this date brings terror to the minds of Americans. Northern Nigeria would never heal from the deeds of "radical extremists". some non-extremists Muslims assume that everyone will get the intent of Islam. But think about it, no one got time for that.

To Christians: You see a young girl pass by you with a veil from her head falling to her back, and one whispers to the other, "oh my God, she is Islam, how do they manage to cope with all this baggage under the heat of the sun" with a shudder, an actual shudder. Like being a Muslim or a Christian is a taboo. I could see, the girl was a young girl who may or may not be aware of the wounds some "radical extremists" some where have caused. what about praying for that little girl instead of going around slandering and wasting  so much time. No one can really know the problems of these "radical Extremists'' except the one who created all. So, we should always pray more as the world has chosen to get darker.

Have you tried kernel oil?

  Hey guys,
I choose not to go so scientific on this post....lol. I believe when one starts blogging about canal oil and the others, they begin to use words like "cholesterol, high density lipoprotein, trans-fatty acids, lauric, myristic. At the first glance its gonna sound pitifully boring. But the question still remains, Have you tried canal oil? I mean its natural, easy to get, cheap, and multi-purpose. Do you have scars, I mean really black scars, pimples, irritation on the skin, just try it. While I was growing up, my mom made us use the oil despite its smell. But we all realized that as we grew older we glowed and got so many questions about what products we made use of. To avoid the smell the oil produces, you could mix it with your present cream and whew, you good to go.

The importance of canal oil is immense and it is optimally available as far as you can get its natural elements. It doesn't take time and it is not expensive. Technology has made extraction seem complicated but I have an easier and simpler version in order for you to get the oil as quick as possible.

The traditional oil extraction method is to fry palm kernels in old oil or simply heat the dried nuts. The fried kernels are then pounded or ground to a paste in a motorized grinder. The paste is mixed with a small quantity of water and heated to release the palm kernel oil. The released oil is periodically skimmed from the top.

I believe the method above is extremely easy and cheap beyond some of the artificial creams we make use of which may act negatively on our skin as we age.

on intelligence; How a country can affect ones level of intelligence

yea, I agree, the talk on intelligence has become so much but really how can one go ahead in this fast paced world of ours without possessing an intelligence that out smarts his/her environment. A professor of mine once told me never to write about what I am ignorant about, so as a Nigerian I would lay my emphasis on Nigeria.

The natural genetic makeup of the body interacts with environment from the moment of conception. Extreme environmental conditions can predominate behavior in some cases. This particular factor aids to provide individual intelligence. There have also been debates on which has the greater influence in a person genetics or environment. In the course of my article I would explain my personal standpoint which is Environment and why i choose that.

A persons environment consists of the people he/she interacts with, the things ones sees, the food one eats, the books one reads, the experiences one has. Definitely, am not disputing to the fact that genetics has a role it does because it is the unit of heredity by which a biological trait is passed down through generations of human beings. Environment on my part has more to play because a persons interactions can change his/her view points and reactions towards life. for example, take a quiet and observant child who believes so much in family and community to an environment where one is independent and fends for himself. This child would definitely metamorphose into the activities of the people he is constantly interacting with.

Am absolutely sure a lot of you may not accept this but let me explain from the environment I come from:
I assert to it that all Nigerians are smart and I mean what I say. To an average Nigerian man, he believes he is smarter than every other person despite the educational status of the rival. They may pretend to be really calm and insightful but really they intend to outsmart you. A child growing up in such an environment becomes aware of this variables and may decide to tackle it up by putting up what I call the survival instinct. this refers to an extremist approach to save one self from the claws of deception. In contrast to this is the American view of signing up to fight for the integrity and dignity of the country. A child becomes aware of this and decides to sacrifice for the service of the nation. 95% of youths in Nigeria would ignore such a call. The conservative nature of Britons makes it easy for them to be preservative. A nation like India is built on religious settings so people who grow up here becomes aware to the circumstances surrounding this fact.

Lot of you would ask what does this have to do with a person's intelligence. But yes it does because ones environment decides ones approach to life and the people in it. I would appreciate if I get contrary opinions and view points because am open to change.

on intelligence by Jeff Hawkins

Hello everyone,
To get more informed on intelligence and the strength of the human brain in the creation of high technology, a close study of the book on intelligence by Jeff Hawkins would do. ON INTELLIGENCE.

From the inventor of the Palm Pilot comes a new and compelling theory of intelligence, brain function, and the future of intelligent machines

Jeff Hawkins, the man who created the Palm Pilot, Treo smart phone, and other handheld devices, has reshaped our relationship to computers. Now he stands ready to revolutionize both neurosciences and computing in one stroke, with a new understanding of intelligence itself.

Hawkins develops a powerful theory of how the human brain works, explaining why computers are not intelligent and how, based on this new theory, we can finally build intelligent machines.

The brain is not a computer, but a memory system that stores experiences in a way that reflects the true structure of the world, remembering sequences of events and their nested relationships and making predictions based on those memories. It is this memory-prediction system that forms the basis of intelligence, perception, creativity, and even consciousness.

In an engaging style that will captivate audiences from the merely curious to the professional scientist, Hawkins shows how a clear understanding of how the brain works will make it possible for us to build intelligent machines, in silicon, that will exceed our human ability in surprising ways.

Written with acclaimed science writer Sandra Blakeslee, On Intelligence promises to completely transfigure the possibilities of the technology age. It is a landmark book in its scope and clarity.

Religion and natural crisis

From the recent trend of events, you would notice without reasonable doubt that the major cause of national crisis has been religion. What does religion got to do?  Study has shown that religious and supernatural beliefs arose as man realized that really there is something above or beneath that is bigger than their existence. Through this, man began to create channels In order to live in peace and harmony with these beings. Africa and the Greeks as a whole are highly instituted Into these forms of belief and ideology. A lot of people have forgotten the main foundation of religious worship and belief and have decided to chase after the the wind.

All over the world, we hear about massive destruction, killings, death, utmost poverty, and a high degradation in the environment due to wars and wars. A God who beliefs in killing people in order to be worshipped appropriately is not a God but a vampire. Why should a God wherever he is ask for such treatment from people he believes  he must have created. I believe the main purpose of religion is to create harmony. Hillary Clinton said she was brought up in an environment of contrary opinions held by people; both political and religious opinions, and to pass across your idea on a matter you got to be able to defend your point. So why are people trying to enforce an opinion that is being resisted by a large group. On the orlando crisis and the recent prawn shooting why can't we have peace and quiet. The book haram crisis has gone viral because of some uneducated and barbaric  beings.

For religion I propose is for peace and harmony and not for deaths and wars.

Intelligence: how responsible can a leader ever be?

The measure of a leader is tested in his reaction to national trauma.

Intelligence 2

Emily a young woman who graduated top of her class while at the university of Ibadan decided to take a decision on dieting regarding her present diagnosis on diabetes. Diabetes to her was not the most terrible condition in the world. But a disease that has to do with minimizing and curtailing the intake of food she normally wouldn't be able to take a day off was really terrible.
She began to think about about her present health status and her extinct love for food. She asked herself,
How would I survive without the intake of these really pleasant food?
             Another part of her answered,
Yea off course you can survive, you just need to take deliberate act of
Cutting down the intake of these food substances
           The other really aggressive voice screamed at her;
What the hell are you saying, I bet, you can't go a day without taking in this,
You may just as well die.
Emily struggled between these domineering voices in her mind. She stopped performing actively in her day to day activities. Depression wrung about her like a diamond necklace. Her relationships struggled and took to drowning.
As the months passed and her days became more gloomy and dark due to loss of hope and motivation from within. The voices increased in her mind arising abrupt headaches and fever. Emily who seemed like she controlled the very essence of her existence may have forgotten the immense strength of her mind. Coworkers saw her gradually drown away in the pit of sorrow for no one had the courage to approach her because of her scare crow attitude.
One day Emily decided to read a book titled ''The power of the mind'' she had decided to scroll through the book without the intention of willfully gaining from it. She addressed the book as one of the bulky, thirsty and hungry writers who hurriedly decided to get a book published. She then opened the book and began to feed on it to criticize. But as she continued she saw two writes up that May have changed the entirety of her present state.
''It would come a time when you have to choose between what is easy and what is
                           Right''
'In each of us lies evil and good. The one which one chooses directs the course of his
                            Life'
After Emily read this, she began to feel terrible for her inability to control and make right
choices In the times of challenges.
Emily read the first write up over and over again. It may have lost its power on her
but she decided to enforce it. She got up went into the fridge and disposed of the food stuffs which
went contrary to what the doctors food list contained. Her love for chocolates became gradually reduced. From that moment she also started her daily exercise. All this made her in control of herself. She also apologized to those she may have hurt in her time of challenge.

Intelligence 1

A few months ago I wrote a post titled; what really is intelligence, I choose to go a little further on that to re emphasize my point. Intelligence goes beyond ones ability to solve mathematical or  scientific problems. A lot of people may never want to hear that because they function extremely in this. I would have argued this sometime ago, but further research has made me realize that to function effectively in the fast pacing world of ours we need more than the inept ability to solve mathematical equations. In fast rising companies, you would see a lot of first class graduates being dropped out during recruitment and you may ask why. My answer remains the absence of emotional strength to handle problems that mathematical re evaluations would never solve.
How often does your attitude propel you to solve challenges, overcome obstacles, and accomplish objectives. Have you realized that you have attitudes that are anchors, slowing you down or stoping  you altogether. You may as well as think of people you know who are often identified with strong attitudes.  He's got a can do attitude, I don't know how she does it; she can bring a smile to any situation. Do you get tensed in front of challenges? Do you get actively on the edge each time someone points out the negative in your actions. Then you need emotional intelligence.
What then is emotional intelligence.? Emotional intelligence simply is the ability and the active know how to handle your present feelings appropriately through the well known understanding of oneself and also the conscious step to understand people around you and how to handle their feelings rightly.

Tomorrow I would write on the steps to acquire emotional intelligence.
Hello everyone,
I know it's been sometime and am extremely sorry about my silence. As time goes on I promise to post more regularly . But there's something bordering me oh.......hmmm..I heard that the president is sick and has been taken for international medical checkup. It makes me ponder and wonder why Some Nigerians are rejoicing over this. Yesterday i was going through face book and I saw some posts caricaturing the presidents present state. I mean this guy is doing all he can to bring about sanity to the corrupt platforms of the political parties. Although we all agree that it's quite slow'  but ah ah a little cuddles won't hurt. A little prayer should be made for the president so that he would come back strong and ready to work harder.

Depression sounds like a calm expression, but it is a word that has affected thousands of young people in the 21st generation....
