If you are equal to any man ''then work and earn your own living''.

After reading my post on No need for protesting "Am equal to any man'' one of my very consistent readers sent this to me...I hope you get a few things from it.

 Dear ladies and gents,
I do not believe its okay to spend precious time arguing with male chauvinists about gender equality, because they are so many males out there who believe in equality and are willingly to work a win-win relationship with you. I used to do that a lot but I realized it was taking me no were. I am extremely certain I have equal rights with just anyone. I do not need their permission or opinion on that. It still does not dispute the fact that I do not have the same roles with a man.

To ladies: I wonder why some ladies make it more difficult for other women. Whoever is the head of your relationship is your business, and outside the institution of marriage, everything should be gotten based on merit and nothing else. But some ladies go on the social media saying Men should have more rights;this has to stop. it just shows their height of ignorance. Do those ladies know that the reason they can have a platform to speak publicly is because of the efforts of other women in time past. This women sacrificed their time to proof that women are just as equal.

Generally, women are famous for being on the financial end of a relationship. So many girls want to marry rich men but are not ready to work hard. Yet we scream everyday ''we want equality''. I f you are equal to any man then work and end your own salary. Live on your means and stop being dependent. Work hard academically and clear the paths for other ladies to succeed.

Another reason why women are still being relegated to the background is because we have issues. I mean real issues which we do not make any effort to deal with. First of all, when most women are given authority over a particular group, they tend to make it a reign of tyranny. They do this by putting other women down, being impossible to please and expressing unnecessary comments about things that don't make sense.  Secondly, some women are lazy , they do go extra mile to get anything done, rather they use ''feminine privileges'' to get what they want. Why are they few female artists in the country? Is it because of the lack of opportunities? No, because the public only care for good music.,They ain't ready to work hard. Women pleas sit up...

Poem of the day #storms#

Drizzles, we see
loose droplets pacing through storms
no one could see it come
but we all saw it drop.
We knew about the storms
It was rather left that way.
This drizzles haunts us
we may never have seen it come
we all saw it drop.

I write to dream.
I write to unfold worlds
maybe not a real one
But it still remains a place.
What about the stream from my childhood
I let it flow without knowing its end.
We never tried to realize life's borders
Until when we worked through time but no borders
Maybe If there were
Life would be much more predictable
Is it my mind I let loose
Is it my soul that paces for answers
Why wouldn't the storms give up
Hear me now; We all would withstand You
Why do we not see the long droplets till it fades
I think We are meant to 0vercome.

Minka.

Fashion and technological trends such corruptible forces.

 Hello everyone,
I may get you thinking ''what does Fashion and technological trends got to do with corruptible forces. Stay with me.... Really, I'm a master of magic. Do not run away. ''I will tell you the truth about a man's life and about his extreme love for materials that could destroy his inner sense of morality.

Do not get me wrong. I am not a critic or a hater of fashion and technological trends..Having a good phone and nice clothes won't hurt. But I will tell you the truth about being consumed by what's in Vogue. Firstly, You loose satisfaction, Am not saying its wrong to want more. But the question I pose to you is ''How often do you want more? How often Do you sit right in front of the T.V getting consumed from what you may never get with your present income? The painful question of all is How far do you go to get this stuff?. Think about it girl. Do you go after men who would never have stood face-to-face with you in some ten years to come. I have met a lot of ladies who would give up so much to get what's in vogue. You just can't let anything pass by your eyes...Don't get me wrong, Its wonderful to look good but after answering the questions raised above you got think about how satisfied you are without these materials.

What about technological trends-Ah, that is something Soyinka got to pen about. Lets quickly go down memory lane when blackberry was in vogue-You would remember how many girls went crazy for possessing it. I may get reason to believe that so many regret their actions. Please Do not crucify me, I promised to tell the truth. Really-Lots of them would shriek at possessing it no more now. What about the Iphone series-do not deceive yourself it would soon drizzle out in time because nothing ever lasts. Sooner or later it would be made available to just everyone just as the blackberry. Its time....Ticking and Ticking and never getting a pause. That's the continuity and the unpredictability of life.

The constant want of fashion and technological trends distorts your inner sensibilities of what's morality to You. This is because of how far it could drive you into its continuous possession. Think about it.

''ONE THING I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT THE WORLD''

 Hello everyone,,
I want to thank you all for taking sometime out to read my stuff. Its a pleasure. This is gonna be a very short post but you got to think about it.... The one thing I would change about the world is me. I would change me because me is the only thing I have total control over. No need to change the people around me for If I change me I have changed them. Enough with all the effort to change the things I may never have total control over. For If I change me I have touched a thousand. A me to be kind. A me to be peaceful, A me to love unconditionally, A me to live like Christ lived, A me to help the dying kids who may have lost all hope, A me to be forgiving, A me to overlook all wrong, A me to love truly, A me to give without hoping to get. For If I change me I have changed A thousand. For If I change a thousand they would change ten thousand. A me to love all without expecting to be loved...That me would be just like Christ.

Forbes - Meet the 35-year-old entrepreneur who owns Nigeria's 2nd largest rice farm

Forbes writer Nsehe Mfonobong interviewed former journalist turned entrepreneur Rotimi Williams who owns the second largest rice farm in Nigeria. Read the feature below...

Nigerians consume more than 5 million metric tons of rice every year, with a significant portion of its consumption needs sourced from imports. Rotimi Williams WMB -4.95%, an ambitious 35 year-old Nigerian entrepreneur and rice farmer, is on a quest to change that.
Williams, a former Journalist, is the owner of Kereksuk Rice Farm, the 2nd largest commercial rice farm in Nigeria by land size. His farm, which is situated in Nasarawa state in northern Nigeria, currently sits on 45,000 hectares and employs more than 600 indigenes of Nasarawa.
I recently caught up with the budding entrepreneur in Lagos, and had a brief chat with him where he recounted his journey and mused on how Nigeria can attain self-sufficiency in rice production in the near future.

What’s your educational and professional background?
I attended King’s College in Lagos. After attending secondary school at King’s College I proceeded to obtain my first degree at University of Aberdeen where I graduated with a degree in Economics. I also obtained a Master’s Degree in Economics from the same institution. My quest for more knowledge led me to enroll for yet another Master’s Degree at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London where I gained an MSc. in Finance and Development Studies.
Upon graduation, I landed a role as an analyst at the European Economics and Financial Centre in London. Afterwards, Euromoney Magazine- employed me where I covered the African space.
I would say that this is where my journey truly started.

Given your background as a journalist, what informed your decision to venture into rice farming?
While at Euromoney, I had the opportunity to travel around a few African countries. These trips exposed me to countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, Zambia and Ghana. A common thread amongst the aforementioned nations is agriculture. Agriculture is at the very core of these countries and this got me thinking. After a few more trips, I decided to move back to Nigeria and sink my teeth into the agricultural space. Nigeria remains the largest economy in Africa from both a GDP perspective and also the strength of the size of our population.
Upon my arrival back in Nigeria, I got a job at a premier Bank where I was promised to sit on the agriculture desk – my hope was that I would gain enough knowledge of the Nigerian agricultural industry and develop myself from there.

Unfortunately, the agricultural desk at the Bank never quite achieved its set goals. I pushed hard for the Bank to adopt policies and gain inroads into the agricultural industry but my attempts were somewhat frustrated. I sincerely feel that the bank wasn’t quite ready to launch fully into the agricultural space.
As my frustration grew, I decided to quit banking and planned to go it alone into agriculture. Frankly, my decision led to a challenging sojourn as attempts to raise funding with my partner proved difficult. We started a Structured Trade and Commodity Finance company. After a while I started consulting for small agriculture companies seeking to raise capital both locally and internationally.

You currently own the second (2nd) largest rice farm in Nigeria with 45,000 hectares in Nasarawa, Nigeria. What’s the story behind your acquisition of such vast land, and what are some of the challenges you’ve encountered in farming in the volatile northern region?
Two years had past and we still had no funds, so I made an offer to the farm owner, that with a 50-50 split, I would develop the farm with both personal funds and external funding. He agreed and that’s how I became part owner of 17,296 hectares of farmland. Knowing that agriculture would become the integral area of focus in Nigeria, I was bullish and ramped up the land to 55,000 hectares. I later parted with my partner as a result of unaligned views and strategy. I maintained 45,000 hectares for myself and today we have started producing, with our quality paddy being sold to major milling companies in Nigeria. However, I must add the following, I often have people ask how I learned abut farming, as everyone thinks you need a special degree in agriculture to be a farmer, but I always tell them the truth, I learnt it all on Google GOOGL +1.11%.   I downloaded every article I could find on rice production, consumed it and then practiced it in the fields.

Frankly, my experience working alongside indigenes of Nasarawa state has been exceptional. I have learnt over the years that if you approach people with respect even more so while one seeks to set up a business venture. Having a healthy sense of community makes all the difference in attaining one’s set objectives. I lean heavily on the wisdom and cultural approach of the indigenes to carry out farming on such a scale here in Nasarawa.

No need for protesting ''Am equal to any man''

Hello everyone,,
One of the reasons the plight of the women has been an issue to remedy is that it's not easy to change a man's mind about a woman's place in the world. No matter what you do, Legislation might be passed or public policy might change. The fact still remains you can't change the mindset of men. A lot of us spend so much time on the social media arguing and getting angry when silly comments and ideas about women come forth. But I say why waste your time protesting...Do their opinions really matter. It doesn't because one's opinion about oneself matters more than what the world may think.

The myths on women include:
Inferior to men, second class citizens.
objects for sensual gratification alone.
weak; incapable of having strength.
lacking in intelligence and therefore having nothing to contribute to the society.
The personal property of men, the equivalent of cattle.
personal servants, whose purpose is to meet the needs of their masters.
Domestic slaves, to be used as desired.
Objects to be passed around until finished with, and then discarded.
Subhuman.
Deserving abuse

The following are Myths  attributed to the existence of womanhood. Really its your choice to accept it or denounce its strength. Women are generally attributed as inferior but all I know is that Inferiority begins with a person's mind accepting its reality. Most of the problems we attribute to dominance by men are problems inherent in our nature. A lot of women got to work on themselves before attributing their weaknesses to men. The problem of women as Objects for sensual gratification is our problem not theirs. ''A lot of women can sell their bodies in cheap musical videos to be paid peanuts'' How then do you expect anyone to take you serious. So many concern has been raised on this subject but  If all the women who engage in these act choose to redirect their steps then a major battle would be won.

No matter how long we protest equality and all, many things can't work out unless we work on ourselves. A lot of women do not work hard anymore cause they believe that their bodies can make waves for them...After writing an exam you settle the male gender you seek equality with your bodies.. later on, You say men don't take you serious. How serious do you want them to take you?

I believe without out reasonable that any war can be won through a deep sense of understanding. It remains that many do not understand what they seek and argue over. For women who really Understood have not only become equals with men but have ruled over them. I mean this war must be understood from the perspective that arguing and quarreling about Women's right is not the way to go about it. But realizing without protesting unnecessarily '''That You ARE EQUAL TO ANY MAN''.

Entertainment:The most important thing to do to boomerang as a Nigerian Artist.

Hello Music Lovers,,
The music industry is booming faster than it has ever done in recent times. There has been an influx of young people exploring their talents significantly. But a lot of them seem to forget one very important thing which is the ability to be distinct simply put ''Being Unique''. Everyone seems to be going according to the beats and so it fades with time. I have noticed without reasonable doubt that most Nigerian songs last barely 3 months because of the lack of substance.

One very Important question you should ask yourself Before threading into music Artistry is How long do I want my songs to last the minds of Nigerians and the world. Enough with all this Alujo beats we get to hear from Nigerian Musicians. Alujo beats doesn't take anyone farther than it has taken people who practice it. Look at Fela, Nice, Asa, 2face, Olamide... I could mention more but there's something really unique about their songs which would make it relevant 7.5 years from now. How relevant is your song. It should embedded in the cultural consciousness of the people and not based on ''irrelevant issues; like women, parties, and vulgar stuff.

What about picking up themes from Your cultural background. Build it up around myths, and legends tell stories that would immortalize your culture...Really, there are important things to sing about than what we have to hear today. If you got to sing about women all the time, You may get to make the money but what about ''What you are known for''. You could also Build on issues from the political happenings and make Nigerians really relate to it. Am not trying to tell you stuff to sing about but ''YOU GOT TO MAKE SENSE WITH YOUR MUSIC''.

''Hillary's decision in a male dominated world poses great strength to women''

 I was doing a brief study on America and women's right. While I was doing that I came across ''the vote passed on conferring right to vote upon the women in the united states''. This is what a senator Joseph Emerson Brown said;
I think the mental and physical structure of the sexes, of itself, sufficiently demonstrates
the fact that the sterner, more laborious, and more difficult duties of society are to be performed
by the male sex; while the more delicate duties of life, which requires less physical strength, and
the proper training of Youth, with the proper discharge of domestic duties, belong to the female
sex. Nature has so arranged that the male sex cannot attend properly to the duties assigned by
the law of nature to the Female sex, and the male sex cannot discharge the more rigorous duties
  required by the male sex.

I wish he stayed alive a little more to see a woman contest strongly with a man like Donald Trump. Hillary's choice to run for the American's presidency has given the women of this generation hope that things are gonna get better.. I mean real hope. America has survived under 44 presidents but in isolation of a woman. Here Hillary makes me believe I can thread were no one has threaded. James Emerson's reason for not voting for women in America to vote has proved vile because in recent times Women have risen up to fight both radically and liberally. There have forgotten were the male sex has relegated them. So many women have picked up arms to wars and have done excellently well. The overwhelming thing about it all is that women have learned to balance the duties at home and what the world got to offer.
So, they should be no reason for staying back and withholding yourself from what the world has to offer. Go out and rule.

''The president cannot control the present economy of Nigeria''

All of you who keep on blaming the present administration for bad policies, please pick up your Economics text book and read.....

The problem of Nigerians economic situation isn't the policies of the present administration. Definitely all the administrations have contributed immensely to its breakdown..Simply put, the problem of the present economic breakdown is the lack of employment, and high intake of loans from international organizations.

So many unread Nigerians are blaming the whole stuff on Buhari...The only thing the administration can do to bring the economy to a good place is simple but needs hard work...... which is create jobs and pay back all the money borrowed from international organizations. This would need time and strategy because of all the bad decisions past administrations has taken.

Has christianity got nothing to do with business

Hello everyone,,
This question is quite displaced some people may say...placing Christianity side by side with business doesn't sound right....Yea I tell you, It sounds a 100percent right. There are a lot of business people who pull of the garment of Christianity when it comes to business saying....Its business. But what of fairness. Oh, does this send a nail down memory lane. When you triple the prices of goods and services is it being fair. What about the lies told., What about deceit .

I believe the principles of the bible should direct one's existence and not the opposite. For Christianity is a life style.

Depression sounds like a calm expression, but it is a word that has affected thousands of young people in the 21st generation....
